Nike Contrasts the Air Max 1 With a Clean Black & White Makeover

Continuing to offer strong takes on the Air Max 1, Nike recently put together a contrast-focussed “Black/White-Gum Sole” colorway of the shoe that started it all.

Sporting a two-toned look, the upper of the new colorway is constructed of black and white panels of mesh and smooth leather. Branding becomes particularly apparent as the contrasting tones highlight the classic Nike Sportswear tongue tag and accompanying Swoosh branding at the heel and side panels. While a standout gum rubber outsole attached to a pure white Air Max 1 midsole finishes off the daily wear look.

Price at $130 USD, the Air Max 1 “Black/White-Gum Sole” is set to release at select Nike Sportswear retailers very soon.
