Joaquin Phoenix's Stand-Alone Joker Film Receives an Official Release Date
Will we see a Batman cameo?

Despite only being green-lighted last week, director Todd Phillips‘ stand-alone Joker Origin film, starring Joaquin Phoenix now has an official release date.
Announced ahead of Warner Bros. and DC Comics San Diego Comic-Con press conference, the movie centered around the Batman villain is set to hit theatres October of next year. As part of the DC Cinematic Universe‘s new push, the film will feature a darker more experimental tone in look and content with a noticeably smaller budget of $55 million USD. Warner Bros. also noted that the film will be a closer exploration of the origin of the Joker to make sure it is different from the Jared Leto‘s Suicide Squad spinoff.
Stay tuned for more information regarding the release of the stand-alone Joker film come October 4, 2019.
