Italdesign & Nissan Bring the GT-R50 Concept Car to Life
Watch the impressive supercar hit the track.
Shaking up the automotive world, Nissan recently unveiled its GT-R50 prototype vehicle at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Following an initial announcement, the physical creation of the concept car showed off the future of the Japanese automotive company expressing its roaring twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 engine that makes 710 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque with every turn. Assisted by a Brembo brake system, revised Bilstein damping system and sleek power bulge hood, lowered roofline, “samurai blade” cooling outlet and large adjustable rear wing, the car shocked the crowd on hand. A co-creation from Nissan and Italdesign, the concept car come to life is a celebration of 50 years of GT-R and the design and engineering company’s 50th anniversary. Building upon the latest GT-R NISMO, the GT-R50 brings together a European-style sensibility with Japanese performance and Italian craftsmanship.
