A. Lange & Söhne Unveils the Limited-To-100 1815 Tourbillon With Enamel Dial
Priced at a respectable $197,200 USD.

For 2018, longstanding German watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne delivers an updated 1815 Tourbillon wristwatch with a white enamel dial. Contrasting 2017’s 1815 Chronograph with a black dial, this timepiece sports a white face with a 39.5mm platinum case, blue steel hands, a red “12” marker, a movement that beats at 3Hz, and a 72-hour power reserve.
In explaining the brand’s reasoning behind this limited-edition watch, Director of Product Development at A. Lange & Sohne, Anthony de Haas, said, “The enamel dial accentuates the classic design, which is adapted from Lange’s pocket watches with their Arabic numerals, chemin de fer minute scale and blued steel hands. The basic idea was to build a credible bridge from the origins of watchmaking to the present.”
Limited to just 100, the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon “White Enamel” is priced at $197,200 USD. For more from the world of horology, check out OMEGA’s Ultraman-inspired watch.
