ADAPTATION Salutes Los Angeles With FW18 Collection
“City of Angels” is a love letter to the brand’s hometown.
After issuing a collaborative pair of Vans earlier this year, skate-indebted label ADAPTATION returns with a seasonal drop of graphic-heavy gear. “City of Angels” centers around the brand’s new shirt silhouette, a relaxed cut crafted from a Japanese cotton/cashmere blend, seen here layered underneath long coats or loosely tucked into relaxed trousers. “CITY OF ANGELS” prints appears on several tees, with another sporting an embroidered palm tree photo, a motif carried over to a slouchy stadium jacket. Similar craft is applied to chainstitch branding seen under the collar of a hefty wool coat. Menswear opts for muted back tones, except for a pair of pants printed with a batik-like pattern, while womenswear focuses on track pants and a bold leopard-print coat.
