Troy Ave Will Not Face A Murder Charge
He still faces some other challenges, though.
Despite being indicted for several felony charges for his involvement in the recent Irving Plaza shooting at T.I.’s most recent New York City show, Troy Ave will not face a murder face for the death of his bodyguard and friend Ronald McPhatter. As FADER reports, the official indictment will be made available for public consumption this Wedneday. In an emailed statement, Troy Ave’s lawyer Scott Leemon tells FADER:
“Nothing in this indictment is a surprise or new…It’s the same wrong story that NYPD has been trying to portray. The video does not show everything nor explain what happened in the VIP room before Troy came running out, as a victim, after he was shot.”
Earlier in the month, we learned of the specific charges Troy Ave will be facing for the May shooting.
