Lin-Manuel Miranda Shares Unreleased Mobb Deep Track, “Boom Goes The Cannon”

Arriving just days before Prodigy’s one-year death anniversary.

Following the renowned success of his Hamilton musical, playwright composer and creative Lin-Manuel Miranda has just shared a previously unreleased Mobb Deep track titled, “Boom Goes The Cannon.” The song is part of ongoing #HamilDrops campaign that finds Miranda collaborating with musicians to share new Hamilton-themed records every month. The song also arrives almost one year to the day of Prodigy’s untimely passing back on June 20, 2017.

Along with the release, Miranda also tweeted “Rest in peace, Prodigy. Thank you Havoc.” Listen in above.

In other related news, Havoc recently announced that new Mobb Deep album will be coming in 2018.
