LeBron James Wore a Converse Chuck Taylor “Bootleg” Swoosh Sneaker by Chinatown Market
An intriguing three-way collab.
Although LeBron James has one of the hottest sneaker catalogs of any Nike athlete/endorser, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ superstar earlier donned a pair of bootleg kicks created by streetwear imprint Chinatown Market to shootaround. Preparing for game two of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, James was spotted lacing up a pair of Swoosh-enhanced “Bootleg” Chuck Taylor 1970s.
The all-familiar Converse silhouette — in a simple black and white color scheme — sports Chinatown Market’s signature smiley face logo on the medial side with Nike’s signature emblem hitting the lateral side. According to the info seen etched on the back of the tongue, the hybrid shoe is a 1-of-1 offering for James, however, a cosign from the King himself could signal what’s to come from the current Nike/Converse relationship.
Elsewhere in the sneaker world, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack” now has a confirmed release date.
