Michael Dupouy’s La MJC agency joined forces with Mizuno on a special Wave Rider 1 silhouette to commemorate the third anniversary of Dupouy’s co-owned Club 75 boutique. The sneaker’s colorway was inspired by the red and green hues of artist David Hammons’ African American flag artwork. As far as construction details are concerned, the trainer is equipped with black mesh textiles across the uppers alongside suede and premium leather overlays in red and green accents. Topping off the design execution are co-branded heel tabs, leather insoles and three pairs of laces in black, red, and green options.
The kicks will be made available for purchase exclusively in-store at Club 75 starting June 23. An online release will follow on June 24 at 7 pm CET.

La MJC for Mizuno. Wave Rider 1. Im super psyched to announce my first collaboration with legendary Japanese brand Mizuno. I was looking for an art piece from the 90s for the color inspiration and I have been always fascinated by David Hammons’s interpretation of the American Stars and Stripes flag. It’s more than a major work and I wanted to pay it an hommage while I feel its color palette will work perfectly with this impressive silhouette. The European and Japanese teams helped a lot to source the best fabrics and we are clearly talking about quality above quantity here. We will release a limited amount of pairs to celebrate Club 75 flagship store 3rd anniversary, on Saturday June 23rd. Every pair come with a set of three laces (black, red, green). We won’t do any raffle. First come, first served, as always. Remaining pairs (if any) will be uploaded online at 7pm French time on Sunday June 24th. See you next week at the store. We will have our annual party to celebrate. Music, good vibes, food and drinks on us. Come early! #lamjc #mizuno #waverider1 #?????
