Emerging Libyan artist Zeehan Wazed recently launched his first New York City solo show at the ABXY Gallery. Entitled “Momentum,” the young multi-talent displays a vibrant selection of abstract paintings alongside sculptures, mixed media works, and dance. More precisely, Wazed is fascinated with mathematics, graffiti, and multiple technical practices. He draws inspiration from a number of renowned visual artists such as Frank Stella, Jose Parla, Alexander Calder, and RETNA to name a few.

“A reflection on Wazed’s fascination with concepts of momentum and relativity, for this exhibition, the artist will transform the gallery into an entirely immersive installation designed to bring attention to the viewer’s own sense of personal momentum,” said the gallery in a statement.
