Golden State Warriors Sweep Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 for 2018 NBA Championship
Ushering in a new dynasty with a 108-85 Game 4 win.
Despite a valiant effort from LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors ended the series with an impressive win for the 2018 NBA Championship.
Sweeping the Cavs in Game 4 108-85, a disappointed Cleveland crowd stood shocked as the team led by James crumbled under pressure, failing to record a win in the high profile NBA Finals. Taking the lead early on the Cavs just couldn’t keep GSW away, giving up their lead by the start heading into the halftime break. Although a highly emotional James tried to fire up his teammates, they just couldn’t stop the California team. LeBron ended the game with 23 points and eight assists, while Stephen Curry led the game with 37 points and Kevin Durant played his part with 20 points. Durant stood a key element of the win and was honored with the Finals’ Most Valuable Player by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver for the second year running.
The win serves as the Golden State Warriors third NBA Championship title in four years after winning the title last year. Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors on their outstanding series sweep and second NBA Championship in a row.
