Drake Dominated the 2016 Much Music Video Awards

Drake just keeps on racking up victories across the globe and musical aisles. As HYPEBEAST reports, Drake absolutely cleaned house at the 2016 Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs). The OVO rapper took home five trophies as a result of his massive “Hotline Bling” single, including Video of the Year and Best Hip-Hop Video. Drake and “Hotline Bling” also earned Director X a Best Director nod and Drake swooped up the award for Most Buzzworthy Canadian. While not present at the Toronto ceremony, award-presenter Amber Rose held it down by stating, “[Drake] wanted to come. He’s shooting a video in the Dominican Republic right now but he told me personally that he loves you guys so much and he wishes he could be here.” As recent reports have shown, she’s right about what Drake was up to.
