Building on their collaborative relationship, COMME des GARÇONS recently shed light on a past Nike model from the early 2000s – coming up with a revamped version of the Nike Air Presto Foot Tent.
Unveiled at CdG’s recent HOMME Plus Spring/Summer 2019 show at Paris Fashion Week, the Nike Air Presto Foot Tent served as a standout element of the collection dominated by wearable shrubbery, rumpled polyester, and sliced-up suiting. Maintaining the overall shape of an Air Presto, the ‘Tent’ version sees the removal of the lacing and cage system found on the original, opting for a pull-string-secured laceless look — mimicking that of a pitched tent when given structure via tent poles. Expressing a bootie-like form behind the vamp, interesting color combinations, and a unique textile mix (found at the collar) round up the design of the shoe.
No official drop notes just yet, but stay tuned for more information regarding the release of the Nike Air Presto Foot Tent.
