ALYX's Matthew M. Williams Gives a Closer Look at his MMW x Nike Sneaker

ALYX designer Matthew M. Williams took to his Instagram to give a closer look of his first collaborative Nike sneaker, dubbed the S19-NIKE-MMW. The technical runner is part of Williams’s data-influenced collection with Nike and also appeared on the 1017 ALYX 9SM Spring/Summer 2019 runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
Sporting Williams’s slick, tech-wear aesthetic, the unisex sneaker features a sock-like collar, a multi-textile upper, utility straps across the forefoot and ankle, and a robust tactical rubber gaiter sole from Vibram. Premium leather panels and suede straps give the shoe an extra dose of quality, while small white text at the midsole arch keeps the branding subtle and tasteful.
The MMW x Nike collection is set to release on July 12. Also make sure to check out the 1017 ALYX 9SM pop-up store in Paris, which will be open until June 27.
