Matty from BADBADNOTGOOD has recently announced his Déjàvu LP, which will be released on June 15. In conjunction with the announcement, he has dropped off the next single off the project, “Clear.” The track, which follows “Embarrassed” and “How Can He Be,” finds Matty delivering enchanting vocals over a vibrant synth-laced instrumental.

“‘Clear’ is the first full song I demo’d with Frank Dukes two years ago and it was the last song I finished on the record,” he says. “It started with a minute-long, poorly performed iPhone recording of the chords / lyrics, and I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to play it for him. When we started working on it he made the melody the focal point of the song. With this in mind we completely restructured it and it quickly became a favorite for both of us. Writing this song helped me realize my patterns in intimate relationships that I still struggle with.”

Listen to “Clear” above and stay tuned for the album drop.
