HBO Unveils Star-Studded Trailer for Dr. Dre & Jimmy Iovine's Documentary 'The Defiant Ones'

HBO has unveiled the lead trailer in support of the network’s forthcoming Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine documentary The Defiant Ones. Loaded with some of the entertainment industry’s biggest stars, the new Defiant Ones teaser features appearances from Eminem, Bono, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Trent Reznor, Nas and others. “Jimmy Iovine is the levitator, Dre is the innovator,” explains Eminem, briefly breaking down the work relationship between the two music juggernauts. “I was really determined to be a success, I was blessed to find hip-hop,” shares Dr. Dre. Directed by Allen Hughes, The Defiant Ones will explain the story of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s storied careers over the course of four programs.
You can check out the first teaser for HBO’s The Defiant Ones above, while the series’ first episode will debut on July 9 at 9 p.m. Earlier this month, Dr. Dre was once again spotlighted in Forbes‘ annual list of hip-hop’s wealthiest artists.
