Designer Philippe Malouin has used a variety of materials and fabrics to create colorful room dividers for his “Study for Screens” series as part of NYCxDesign 2017. Malouin presents his creations inside WeWork Bryant Park using foam, mesh, and leathers, which were commissioned by Swedish furniture brand Hem. Malouin and his crew have produced 13 screens one day short of a week, however, only six are on display at Bryant Park. “This installation is not at all finished products, they are just basically representations of ideas; if you want to generate ideas it’s a very good idea to start making things out of any available material and try to experiment with as many themes and concepts as you can,” the designer explains.
Malouin opened “Study for Screens” at WeWork Bryant Park back on May 19 and it remains on display through today. Learn more over at the Hem official website.
