This Super Rare Ferrari Daytona Could be Yours for $1 Million USD
One of three.
A super-rare Ferrari Daytona from 1971 is now up for sale, with an asking price of just below $1 million USD. The super-rare model is the first of just three road-going NART Daytona Spyder models ever created, and was commissioned by Le Mans-winning driver Luigi Chinetti, who would go on to head Ferrari’s U.S. division in the ’70s.
The car was originally built in 1971, before being returned in a trade four years later. At this point, Chinetti decided to keep the car and gave it a brand new Le Mans-inspired custom body designed by Giovanni Michelotti. Over the 45 years since it was built, the car has barely been driven and comes in an almost-immaculate and unrestored condition.
