Drake's 'VIEWS' Debuts at No. 1 & Obliterates Streaming Records
Two-and-a-half times more streams than the previous record holder, Justin Bieber.

Drake sold 1.04 million equivalent VIEWS album units in the week ending May 5 in the US alone. Billboard has recently reported that the album debuted at No. 1 on their Top 200 chart. The album’s tracks were streamed nearly a quarter of a billion (245.1 million) times during the tracking week. This is two-and-a-half-times more than the previous holder, Justin Bieber, whose album Purpose had just over 100 million plays on its debut week. It’s Drake’s sixth consecutive No. 1, following What a Time to be Alive, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Nothing Was the Same, Take Care, and Thank Me Later. His debut EP, So Far Gone, was the only one that failed to reach this achievement. Congratulations, Drizzy.
