adidas Originals Gets World Cup-Ready With "Luzhniki" Samba OG Colorway
A nod to this year’s final stadium.
As we approach the World Cup, adidas Originals is set to drop a special-edition take on the Samba OG silhouette to mark the occasion. The sneaker’s colorway is inspired by the tournament’s Russian setting, while its name — “Luzhniki” — is taken from the Moscow-based stadium that will host the final in July.
The sneaker comes in premium leather, with signature Samba details such as the extended tongue, gum sole and t-toe overlay. The colorway of white, “Scarlet” and “Granite” is a nod to the Russian football team, as is the Red Star branding on the heel of each shoe.
