Walmart Yodeling Boy Mason Ramsey Drops His First Single, "Famous"
Make yodeling great again.
After taking America by storm with his impromptu performance at an Illinois Walmart, Mason Ramsey the yodeling gawd himself, is now dropping off his first official single aptly titled, “Famous.” On Thursday night, the bowtie wearing, cowboy hat-wearing, toe-tapping wheelin’ and dealin’ Walmart yodeler not only made his debut as a recording artist, but also announcing his new music deal with Atlantic Records and Big Loud. “I’d been to Nashville a few times before, but never thought something like this would happen. It’s a dream to sign with Atlantic and Big Loud, I loved recording ‘Famous’ and can’t wait for everyone to hear it” says the 11-year-old singer.
In a press release, Atlantic Records VP of A&R Ian Cripps and Seth England, Big Loud partner said they wanted to work with him because “He has the talent and emotional ability to really feel a song and sing from his soul,” while adding, The Ramseys are “an amazing family from a small Southern Illinois town just like me, we understood them, and their goals and simply fell in love with their story and vision.”
