Skepta to Judge Londoners' Custom Nike Designs
Registration for the Nike: ON AIR Event ends tomorrow morning.
Following up on 2017’s contest, Nike: ON AIR returns for another year of cutting-edge sneaker designs. After initiating in NYC, the competition comes to London, where a panel of judges will oversee the entries and select the finalists. Nike’s Senior Design Director Nate Jobe & Vice President Creative Director of Colour Design, Courtney Dailey will spearhead the panel, which also includes Alexandra Hackett and Skepta.
The three finalists will be featured on the global Nike: ON AIR voting page, where the world will decide the creation that best suits London. Afterwards, the winner will head to Nike’s Oregon campus to meet the production team and bring their design to life. Air Max Day 2018 saw the general release of the Air Max 1/97 hybrid designed by last year’s winner, Sean Wotherspoon.
