Nas Collides With DJ Shadow For "Systematic" & Drops "Angels With Dirty Faces"
Is an album announcement imminent?
Nas is a man on a mission right now. After revealing that he had completed work on a new project on last year’s fittingly-titled “Nas Album Done” track for DJ Khaled, the Illmatic legend decides to link with DJ Shadow for a hard-hitting flurry of bars known as “Systematic.” “Aye @zanelowe, got that fire for you as promised…check your email! cc: @nas,” tweeted DJ Shadow earlier today, alluding to the aforementioned collaboration. “Systematic” serves as the lead single in support of Silicon Valley: The Soundtrack, which will see release on June 16 via Mass Appeal Records. Along with “Systematic,” Nas has followed up the “Angel Dust” record released earlier this month with another new record for the soundtrack to The Get Down Part II, “Angels With Dirty Faces.” As we await news concerning the next official Nas album, these songs should prove that the Queens icon hasn’t lost a step.
