J Dilla, Nas & Madlib Collide on "The Sickness"
Dilla’s long-awaited ‘The Diary’ drops tomorrow.
The late J Dilla’s long-awaited The Diary — the very last batch of unissued material assembled by Dilla himself in his lifetime — is just around the corner, so Mass Appeal Records has liberated yet another track from the LP: “The Sickness.” First teased by Nas and now available in CDQ form, the cut originally existed in some form as far back as 2001 and sees the Detroit and Brooklyn-born/Queens-bred artists paired with a Madlib production.
Check out the vintage cut above and look for it to be joined by the likes of “The Introduction” and the Snoop- and Kokane-assisted “Gangsta Boogie” when The Diary drops this Friday, April 15.
