Instagram Launches Its Own Focus Portrait Mode for Videos & Photos
For that professional photography look.

Taking a page from Apple, Instagram recently launched its very own Portrait Mode to give users that professional photography look.
Unlike the portrait function found on iPhones 7 Plus, 8 Plus, and X, the social media app’s Focus Portrait Mode is available on most phones and supports photos and videos. According to Instagram, the “focus mode leverages background segmentation and face detection technology.”
Originally spotted hidden in Instagram’s code and given a public testing run, the new function which blurs the background while keeping a subject sharp is now ready for everyone. Looking to give users more options to curate their content, the Focus Portrait Mode is available now in the Instagram Stories format.
