Instagram Has a Hidden Portrait Mode in the Stories Camera
A sign of things to come?
Thanks to some digital sleuthing, one of the hidden features of Instagram‘s Stories is a secret no more. Hidden in the app’s code is a feature that hints at the existence of a forthcoming portrait mode.
Ishan Agarwal, who first broke the news about Instagram’s possible audio/visual calling features, decompiled the app’s APK and found an icon titled “portrait_shutter_icon.png,” hinting at a hidden potential within the app.
No word from Instagram whether the features are actually on the way, but stay tuned. Elsewhere in the world of photography, Canon finally announced concrete plans to focus on mirrorless cameras.
