Future's "Mask Off" Is Certified Gold After #MaskOffChallenge

“Mask Off” is slowly becoming one of Future‘s most popular tracks. Not only is it one of the catchiest songs on his self-titled LP, it kickstarted the viral #MaskOffChallenge due to the track’s memorable flute sample. Fans from all over the world found various ways to recreate the song’s melody. In a similar vein to Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” (mannequin challenge) and Migos’s “Bad and Boujee” (memes), the #MaskOffChallenge contributed to the success of the song, launching it to no. 18 on the Hot 100. Recently, the track has been certified gold.
