Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE." Is His Highest-Charting Single as Lead Artist
The highest-charting debut for a rap single since Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie.”

Kendrick Lamar‘s latest single, “HUMBLE.” scored a no. 2 spot on Billboard‘s Hot 100 this week, making it his highest-charting single as a lead artist. His only no. 1 is as a featured artist on Taylor Swift’s smash hit, “Bad Blood.” Billboard reports that “HUMBLE.” got the no. 1 on the Streaming Songs and On-Demand Streaming Songs charts, totaling at 49.8 million streams and 49.8 million on-demand streams.
The Mike WiLL Made-It-produced track is also the highest-charting debut for a rap single in seven years, after Eminem’s Rihanna-featuring “Love the Way You Lie” in 2010. “HUMBLE.” is the first single from the Compton rapper’s forthcoming album, which is set to drop on April 14. The LP will feature James Blake, 9th Wonder, BADBADNOTGOOD, The Alchemist, Mike WiLL Made-It and more.
