"Mask Off" Gives Future His Highest-Charting Solo Single Yet
Taking over Coachella and the charts.
Last night, Future brought the live experience of his self-titled album to Coachella crowds when he made a surprise appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s headlining set to perform “Mask Off.” Now, as Billboard reports, the flute-sampling viral hit has climbed to no. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Future his highest-charting single yet. The success of “Mask Off” allows Future his second appearance in the Hot 100’s top ten rankings and his very first as a lead solo artist. Previously at no. 11 on the Hot 100, “Mask Off” has been propelled in recent weeks thanks to the #MaskOffChallenge and earned Gold certification earlier this month.
Along with his emergence as a guest during Kendrick Lamar’s act, Future performed his own impressive set at Coachella. Last week also marked the arrival of the new, NSFW visual for the HNDRXX cut “My Collection.”
