Y-3's Spring/Summer 2018 Third Chapter Campaign Delivers the "Modern Street Uniform"
Yohji Yamamoto brings the adidas legacy to the modern age.
Late last month, Y-3 provided a glimpse of the future with the unveiling of the RUNNER 4D. Now, following the January showing of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Y-3 adds to its Spring/Summer 2018 lineup with the third and final installment in that drop’s campaign.
To conclude Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2018 run, the label’s creative masterminds have crafted a range that celebrates the legacy of adidas’s most notable designers, re-purposing their work to align with the signature aesthetic of Yohji Yamamoto. To bring Chapter 3 to life, the brand looks to photographer Alessio Bolzoni, stylist Mauricio Nardi and Pony Projects to transform the brand’s creative vision into something tangible; using a black and white backdrop, the aforementioned team seamlessly puts together an editorial that emphasizes the fusion of “sport and fashion,” producing a “new uniform for modern streets.” Specifically, the spotlight is placed on a variety of parkas, tunics, skirts and more, while the adidas Three Stripes graphic motif leads the way.
You can check out the third and final chapter of Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign above. Pieces from the collection are now available at retailers, while the Kusari and Saikou Black BOOST will hit Y-3 flagship locations and the brand’s official website on March 23.
