Tory Lanez and Travis Scott Get Into Near-Altercation, Video Surfaces
As a result, 808 Mafia producer Southside has now threatened the Toronto rapper.
Stemming from a 2017 track, “Hate to Say,” Tory Lanez turned some heads after sharing some lyrics in the song about a confrontation he had with Travis Scott at the Mala Luna Festival in San Antonio:
Me and Travis Scott almost fought at the Mala Luna
We both agreed shortly after that it was music
We possibly could be doing that’s bigger than tryna ruin it
So my apologies, nigga, just forgive me for doin’ it
Now after two years, the video of their long-rumored exchange has surfaced, and from the looks of it, the Toronto rapper had a lot to get off his chest. “Days before that, I tweeted and said, ‘My n***a, you a legend for making this song,’” Tory was heard screaming, referring to his now deleted tweet in which he said “I can’t sound like somebody I wrote for,” suggesting he ghostwrites for the Rodeo rapper after fans accused him of jacking Travis Scott’s flow.
Meanwhile, Southside of 808 Mafia promptly came to the defense of Travis Scott after the video surfaced and even went as far as sending a warning out to the Memories Don’t Die rapper in an Instagram video.
“We don’t gotta do no hoe shit to sell records, you bitch-ass ni**a. Fuck outta here, ni**a. Tell that bitch-ass ni**a Tory Lanez to hit us, ni**a. We want all the smoke, all the fades. Call whoever you want to call, ni**a. We in California on the regular, you bitch-ass ni**a.”
