'Shoeshi' Explains How to Craft Your Own Sneaker Sushi

Onigiri artist Yujia Hu taps his shared loves of sneakers and sushi for a new book, dubbed Shoeshi. In it, Hu walks readers through the process of creating artful sneaker representations out of normal sushi ingredients. As demonstrated on his Instagram, Hu has a knack for recreating familiar pop culture touchstones out of Japanese food, and Shoeshi goes step-by-step in instructing would-be sushi artists to create their own tiny edible sneakers.
