Martin Shkreli Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
He was convicted of fraud last year.

Martin Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive who was nicknamed “Pharma Bro,” was sentenced today to seven years in person after being convicted of fraud last year. Prosecutors were seeking for Shkreli to be sentenced to at least 15 years while the defense was hoping Shkreli would get 12 to 18 months.
In August, Shkreli was convicted on three counts of fraud in federal court. Earlier this week, it was reported that he was forced by a federal court to forfeit $7.36 million USD which includes Wu-Tang Clan‘s album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V.
