'Mario Kart' Appears on Google Maps for Mario Day
It’s “Mario Time!”

In partnership with Nintendo to celebrate Mario Day, Google has announced a feature for the Maps app that allows the Mario Kart plumber to appear on your navigation screen. For March 10 (MAR10 in leetspeak), fans will be able to enable “Mario Time” after entering their destination, transforming the navigation arrow into Mario in his iconic red go-kart. The feature will extend past today and will be available for a week, with rollouts of the feature beginning right now.
This isn’t the first game Google Maps has integrated into its app, as The Pokémon Challenge to social media by storm in 2014. Following the success of that was the inclusion of a playable Ms. Pac Man for April Fools Day. Install the latest version of Google Maps to try it out and share your thoughts in the comments below.
