Amazon Is Now Worth More Than Alphabet
Becoming the second most valuable company in the world.

Amazon has recently become the second most valuable company in the world, replacing Google parent company Alphabet. The past year has seen Jeff Bezos‘ company increase in value to $763.27 billion USD, placing it just ahead of Alphabet, which is currently valued at $762.98 billion USD.
The change in position comes off the back of a strong quarter for Amazon, with share prices currently 29 percent higher than they were at the start of January. Over the same period of time, Alphabet’s share prices have fallen. Despite the good performance from Amazon, the firm is still some way off Apple at the top of the list, with the tech giant currently valued at around $892 billion USD.
