Nike Looks to Brazil's Archives for 2018 World Cup Kits
Modelled by Neymar Jr. & Phillippe Coutinho.
Following on from the launch of kits for France and Portugal, Nike has revealed the kits that will be worn by joint-favorites Brazil during the 2018 World Cup. The new home jersey sticks to the classic colors of the Brazil national team, with a shade of yellow brought out from the team’s archives. This year’s “Vibrant Samba” tone was worn by the team as they won the 1970 tournament.
For the away jersey, Brazil are set to wear blue with a tessellated star pattern. The star is a reference to the first time Brazil wore blue (back in 1958) and the country’s first winner’s star, which came in the same game against Sweden. Similarly, the accompanying collection will feature training gear, pre-match pieces, and an Anthem track jacket. Take a look at the full collection — modeled by the likes of Neymar Jr. and Phillippe Coutinho — with all the pieces set to drop via the Nike web store on March 23.
