Fans expecting to cop the first-of-its-kind Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black Cat” this weekend will have to wait a little bit longer. The blacked-out model was originally slated to hit retailers March 18, but Jordan Brand has now pushed it back to August 18 as confirmed by Sole Collector.

The Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black Cat” model was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3. Originally unveiled at the Future of Flight event in Los Angeles, the shoe’s Flyknit upper mimics the lines and patterns seen on the traditional Air Jordan 3, right down to the elephant print texture at the toe and heel. A glossy black midsole and a glow-in-the-dark outsole round out the updated Air Jordan 3.

Priced at $220 USD, the Air Jordan 3 Flyknit “Black Cat” will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers August 18. For more sneaker news, the animal kingdom stampedes through this week’s sneaker releases.
