Umbro Jumps on the Dad Sneaker Trend
A new alternative.

The latest brand to jump on the dad sneaker tread — following Balenciaga’s Triple S and the Raf Simons x adidas Ozweego — is English sportswear label Umbro.
Dubbed the Bumpy, these thick-soled sneakers take on a bright color-blocked themed upper crafted from leather and mesh panelings. For those looking for a more low-key look, the trainer is also available in a white or black colorway featuring subtle hits of color found on the sides and heel. The models are then featured atop a clunky rubber midsole.
The shoes were released exclusively for South Korea on March 9 and sold out within three days. The sneaker will be restocked over at Umbro Korea’s site at the end of March. No word yet if these will see a wider release, but stay tuned. For more sneaker-related news, the animal kingdom stampedes through this week’s sneaker releases.
