'Star Wars' Album Songs from Flying Lotus, Baauer & Rick Rubin Surface
Flying Lotus and Rick Rubin should handle the next ‘Star Wars’ soundtracks.

As we reported earlier this morning, Rick Rubin is putting together a Star Wars album entitled Star Wars Headspace. The project is set to feature all-new, original efforts from high-profile talents such as Flying Lotus, Baauer, A-Trak, Shlohmo, Royksopp, Rustie and more. The music featured on Star Wars Headspace will utilize “sound elements” and samples from Star Wars‘ legendary films. Courtesy of Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program, we can now hear FlyLo, Baauer and Rick Rubin’s own contributions to the LP. Lowe just debuted the songs on his new Apple radio show, which are titled “Cantina Boys,” “NR-G7” and “R2 Where R U?” FlyLo’s entry — “R2 Where R U?” — was premiered as the coveted “World Record.” You can stream all three below.
