'HITMAN' Takes the Series Back to Agent 47's Origins

Io-Interactive and Square-Enix are taking Agent 47 back to the beginning with the launch of their latest HITMAN installment. Long in the works, the aptly- (and simply-) titled sixth installment of the popular action-adventure stealth series will boast episodic releases this time around and feature huge sandbox-style levels that are six to seven times the size of the largest areas in 2012’s Absolution. Best of all, those who pre-order the game will get access to a special beta that serves as a prequel to the series, taking players back two decades to explore Agent 47’s origins and how he joined the ICA.
The HITMAN beta launches February 12 on PlayStation 4 and February 19 on PC while the first episode of the game itself launches March 11. Fans can pre-order the game online now.
