Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz and More Will Perform at Roots Picnic 2018
There are several new elements to this year’s festival.
The Roots are back in their hometown this year for their annual Roots Picnic festival. This year’s Roots Picnic is coming to Festival Pier in Philadelphia on June 2. The Roots will headline the festival with a Jam Session that is hosted by Dave Chappelle and “special guests” will join the band onstage.
Other performers for the festival include Lil Uzi Vert, Dirty Projectors, the reunited Diplomats, 2 Chainz, Brandy, Rapsody, GoldLink, BadBadNotGood and Sun Ra Arkestra, among others. Black Thought and J. Period will host a live mixtape portion featuring, Fabolous and Jadakiss, among others, while DJ Drama will do a Gangsta Grillz set. There will also be a podcast stage and a lifestyle stage that will feature panels as well as Madden and NBA 2K tournaments. You can find all the relevant info here.
