An Exclusive First Look at the Pyer Moss x Reebok DMX Fusion 1 Experiment
Taking chunky runners in a new direction.
As Pyer Moss gears up to showcase its Fall/Winter 2018 collection, the New York-based label offers us an exclusive look at its upcoming collaboration with Reebok. The DMX Fusion 1 Experiment arrives just in time to ride the chunky sneaker wave, but offers unique detailing that separates the shoe from the rest of the pack.
The all-white Pyer Moss x Reebok DMX Fusion 1 Experiment features a chunky midsole and a lightweight upper accented with perforations for breathability. Of course, the most notable feature of the shoe is a series of thick interlocking laces wrapping around the front and rear of the sneaker, with adjustable lace locks offering the wearer a more secure fit. Co-branded tape, detailed with black co-branding and a long slogan, is stitched up the front and heel of the shoe, creating a lightweight yet secure strap for the laces. Meanwhile, pull tabs and elasticated ankle openings make it easy to tug the shoe on or off.
The Pyer Moss x Reebok DMX Fusion 1 Experiment sneaker drops March 23 at select retailers and on Reebok’s online shop. Since the shoe is stocked in limited quantities, customers can enter for a chance to buy the sneaker on Reebok.com from March 20 until 11:59PM EST on March 22.
Alongside this progressive drop, Reebok is reissuing an original DMX Run 10 colorway, “Nocturnal Blue.”
