Nike Taps '90s Style for New Air Span II Colorway
Taking the retro runner back in time.
Nike‘s new Air Span II takes a nod on ’90s heritage with a new colorway, focusing on monochrome shades accented with hits of bright yellow “Volt” detailing.
White, grey and black appear throughout the upper with alternating panels and branding creating a contrasted, eye-catching sneaker. A grey Swoosh intrudes upon black and white panels, while the familiar “AIR SPAN II” branding is emblazoned in black against grey on the heel. Black paneling on the toebox is juxtaposed with white laces and a grey sockliner, ensuring visual appeal despite the ordinarily muted colors. “Volt” accents appear strategically on the outsole, hitting the middle and forefoot to break up the black detailing, with the yellow also appearing on the heel and underneath the tongue to further contradict the otherwise neutral tones.
