MF DOOM Announces Joint Album With Czarface, Shares First Single "Nautical Depth"
‘Czarface Meets Metal Face!’ drops on March 30.
MF DOOM is continuing his series of big collaborations into the new years following an impressive joint effort with Westside Gunn back in October, in addition to an upcoming album planned with Kaytranada and Bishop Nehru set for late 2018. Now on top of that, the legendary masked rapper is also planning to team up with Czarface (Inspectah Deck and 7L & Esoteric) for yet another joint album for 2018 dubbed, Czarface Meets Metal Face!
Today, they’ve shared the project’s first single, “Nautical Depth” that finds DOOM’s trademark abstractions and Czarface’s in-your-face lyrical attack merge together on wax. As for the project, the album is said to inspire by “cartoon violence, societal observations and pop culture musings” according to the press release.
