Metro Boomin Is Launching His Own Record Label
“New artists, new sounds, and new vibes for people to love and live with.”
Metro Boomin has worked with the biggest names in music and has single-handedly helped to create some of them, too. He’s had his hand in chart-topping tracks with Drake, Kanye West, Migos, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, and the list goes on. With that said, he’s built quite a reputation as one of the most sought-after producers in the game and now it appears he’s planning to keep it all in-house by launching his own label. In a recent sit down with GQ, the 23-year-old musical prodigy said “I’m starting my label up… So of course I’m going to keep bringing new things to the table: new artists, new sounds, and new vibes for people to love and live with.” Aside from the launch of his label, he also confirmed plans to release a solo project and touched on his desire to build a legacy on his own terms, citing Kanye West and Pharrell Williams as examples.
