Mercedes-Benz Chooses Its Top 5 Luxury Cars

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Best of Benz, which lists what the company thinks are its top 5 luxury cars. The company dug into its archive and decided on what it thought were its best cars, which consisted of the 540K, Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, Mercedes-Benz 600, Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet, and 300 SLR respectively.
Each car has its own reasons for being on the list, with the 540K making it one because of its notoriety as a status symbol while the 600 entered the list for being “over-engineered” for its time and being driven by members of the royal family. The last appearance for Mercedes was a decidedly virtual one, appearing in Gran Turismo.
