Lucky Charms Introduces New Unicorn Marshmallow

In a move to modernize the iconic Lucky Charms cereal, General Mills recently introduced a new unicorn marshmallow.

For the first time in 10 years, Lucky Charms will be adding a new permanent marshmallow after the unicorn shape was selected via a democratic Twitter poll. The unicorn shape will be replacing the hourglass that has been a permanent fixture of the cereal alongside the hearts, shooting stars, horseshoe, clover, blue moons, rainbows and balloons. General Mills’ brand marketing manager Josh DeWitt noted that the new “unicorn marshmallow was selected by their youngest consumers. We decided to introduce a new charm with the help of the keepers of magic themselves—kids. They spoke, and after hearing their love for the magical unicorn, we listened.”
