Li-Ning's Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Exudes Youth and Energetic Attitudes
A testament to Chinese creativity.

Marking its inaugural presentation, Li-Ning introduced its Fall/Winter 2018 collection at TMall China Day during NYFWM — an initiative spotlighting forward-thinking Chinese designers. Inspired by Taoism, the label’s offering explores the dichotomy of time and man’s influence on nature.
Envisioning streetwear through an Asian lens, Western silhouettes are juxtaposed against heritage Chinese detailing. Garments are attentively crafted from an array of cutting-edge fabrics trimmed with embroidery in red, white, black, and gold colors, while silver rip-stop adds a touch of contrast. Long puffers are swathed in plastic while T-shirts and sweaters are emblazoned with a portrait of the brand’s founder. Footwear emphasizes contemporary motifs through the chunky Reburn, while the Essence and Essence Axe silhouettes provide ultimate comfort with knit textiles and suede along polished leather, respectively.
