New York-based label LANDLORD hit New York Fashion Week: Men’s with a rambunctious collection of looks that saluted punk fashions of the ’80s while working with some of the brands that informed the style.
The richly colorful clothing encompassed everything from LANDLORD’s usual nylon getups to glittery bras, as the looks ran the gamut from all-black outfits accented with harnesses and waist bags to baggy pink suits worn with graphic tees. Clunky bespoke boots from Dr Martens and Novesta balanced the relaxed cuts and oversized layers, while accessories like the aforementioned harnesses complemented studded belts and plenty of floppy straps. A collaborative Alpha Industries capsule informed a series of bomber jackets and matching pants, while a pair of Blackmeans-designed leather layers boasted dozens of studs and zippers.
Look for the range to hit LANDLORD’s website and other stockists later this year. Keep up to date with the latest shows with our continuing Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 coverage, including exhibitions from CLOT and Raf Simons.
