Highest Residential Pool in Western Hemisphere Coming to Brooklyn
It’s 27 feet in length.
The pool known as the “highest residential infinity pool in the Western Hemisphere” is coming to New York City. Set to be built on top of Kohn Pederson Fox’s Brooklyn Point tower, the pool clocks in at 680 feet above grade, almost 100 feet higher than the infinity pool at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The pool will reach 27 feet in length and the space it inhabits will contain a Nielsen Landscape Architects-designed landscape, outdoor dining, a sun deck, showers, changing rooms, an “outdoor movie projection screen,” and a stargaze-ready observatory. Most notably, those who swing by the attraction will be able to enjoy some of the best views on the planet.
You can take a look at the concept for the “highest residential infinity pool in the Western Hemisphere” above, while the construction project is expected to finish in 2020. For more architectural marvels, learn about the first freeform 3D-printed house in development.
